This recorded session from the 2025 NANS Annual Meeting brings together Editors-in-Chief and editorial leaders from leading pain and neuromodulation journals for a thought-provoking discussion on the future of research, publishing, and scientific collaboration in the field. Faculty explore emerging priorities in neuromodulation research, opportunities for collaboration among journals and professional societies, and strategies for advancing high-quality evidence to support clinical practice.

Through expert panel discussions and audience engagement, learners will gain practical insights into preparing impactful manuscripts, selecting the most appropriate journal for submission, navigating the peer-review process, and responding effectively to editorial feedback. The session also examines common reasons manuscripts are rejected and discusses the evolving publishing landscape, including the challenges and opportunities presented by the growing number of pain and neuromodulation journals. In addition, the activity features oral abstract presentations highlighting innovative research in spinal cord stimulation technology and neuromodulation biomarkers.
