This recorded webinar explores emerging applications and innovations in invasive neuromodulation across the fields of pain management, movement disorders, and epilepsy. Expert faculty highlight cutting-edge developments in closed-loop neuromodulation systems, novel deep brain stimulation (DBS) applications, and evolving approaches to interfacing with the central nervous system. The activity is designed to help clinicians stay current with rapidly advancing technologies and emerging evidence that may shape the future of neuromodulation practice.

Through expert presentations, panel discussion, and audience Q&A, learners will gain insight into the advantages of closed-loop stimulation technologies, including next-generation brain and dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation systems, as well as innovative applications of DBS for conditions such as laryngeal dystonia. The session also explores how advances in neural sensing and communication technologies are expanding therapeutic possibilities and transforming the delivery of neuromodulation-based care.

Following partcipation in this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Explain what information closed loop systems including closed loop DRG present over open loop systems.
  • Describe how DBS is being used off-label and how this is innovative research that can be applied to clinical problems, like DBS for laryngeal dystonia.
  • Identify the changes in our ability to communicate with the central nervous system and how this changes the delivery of care with neuromodulation.
