NANS 2023 Webinar: Emerging Indications for Invasive Neuromodulation Webinar
Overview
Practicing medical providers experience substantial knowledge attrition when they do not see or treat certain diseases or injuries on a frequent basis. There is also an ever-changing growing body of medical literature to assimilate into clinical practice. Neuromodulation is a quickly evolving field and this webinar will highlight some of the upcoming innovations in pain, movement disorders, and epilepsy. This webinar will feature three individual talks given by content experts in the field of neuromodulation. Attendees may feel educated by the discussion and inspired by the future state of neuromodulation.

Learning Objectives
Following partcipation in this activity, learners will be able to:
  • Explain what information closed loop systems including closed loop DRG present over open loop systems.
  • Describe how DBS is being used off-label and how this is innovative research that can be applied to clinical problems, like DBS for laryngeal dystonia.
  • Identify the changes in our ability to communicate with the central nervous system and how this changes the delivery of care with neuromodulation.
