Overview
What are the greatest opportunities that providers have to optimize patient satisfaction and the reputation of their neuromodulation practice? This session will explore topics related to optimizing the patient experience including anticipating what questions and discussions they may see online regarding spinal cord stimulation, understanding and optimizing programming strategies for neuromodulation therapies, and building and leading a successful neuromodulation team. Adequate patient education is critical to help patients feel comfortable with an inherently unfamiliar process of the trial and implant stages, as well as what to expect after surgery. Setting appropriate expectations, good communication with the care team, and appropriate selection of therapy are key to long-term satisfaction with neuromodulation therapies. This education session will cover critical principles in practice management, surgical practice, patient education, and the science of neuromodulation that align to optimize the patient’s experience.
